Valentine's Day 2012

Happy Valentine's Day 2012 from The Little White Schoolhouse!

With so much schooling going on I neglected to post a valentine wish to all you friends out in blog world. From our home to yours I hope that your Valentine celebrations were sweet, fun, and filled with love. For us, a couple of crafty items to save $ and enjoy the holiday too:

Valentines: Ok, so in case some of you haven't figured this out by now, I am a pretty social gal. The one downfall of homeschooling is that some of the fun cultural aspects of traditional schooling are missing from a regular homeschooling environment. Ya know... lunch bunch, classroom parties, the thrill of a "movie day", assemblies, and yes, VALENTINES! I have made it my mission to make sure that these cultural pieces are not fully missing from my children's schooling experience. To that end, my "3 Seeds" made valentines to share with all 30+ classmates in their CBS class this past week. They each peeled the paper from the crayons to make these and signed all the backs. From the oldest to the youngest they were thrilled to pass out these crayon hearts (thank you Target $1 section for the silicon mold!) to each of their teachers and friends.

Valentine shirts!
50% off 2 pink Target long-sleeved shirts and 40% off the white boys shirt from AC Moore. A little transfer paper, my printer and a little time with Publisher 2010 and vio la, custom V-Day shirts for the kiddos. For the girls, matching hair bows from the $1 section of Target... SCORE! Total spent >$10 for all three combined.

Valentine blessings from my 3 Seeds and me!
